Hai takai desu – Yes. Its expensive

Ichi litta ikkura desu ka? – How much for one liter?

Wakharimasen. Demo takai desu -  I don’t know. But its expensive

Kuruma wa motheimasu ka? – Do you have a car

Grammar Notes

‘Migi desu’ literally means ‘it’s right’ however it is interpreted as ‘it’s on the right’ in terms of direction. Same with ‘Hidari desu’ which means ‘its left’ but interpreted as ‘its on the left’.

‘Itte kudasai’ is used to politely tell directions as means to ‘please go’. ‘Hidari e itte kudasai’  is ‘Please go left’

I am an American - Watashi wa america jin desu

I am going to Tokyo - Tokyo e ikimasu

With your family? - Gokazoku to?

Yes. With my family - Hai kazoku to

I am going to Tokyo with family - Kazoku to tokyo e ikimasu

My wife and I are going to Tokyo - Khanai to watashi wa tokoyo e ikimasu

Do you have a Japanese car? - Nihong no kuruma motheimasu ka?

No. I have an american car - Iie.america no kuruma motheimasu

Is you car small? - Kuruma wa chisai desu ka?

No. It is not small - Iie. Chisaku arimasen

Is gasolin expensive? - Gasorin wa takai desu ka?

Please fill the tank - Manthan ni shite kudasai

40 liters, Could you please? - Yo jyu litta onegaishimasu

Wait a minute Please - Chotto matte kudasai

It’s too much - Osugimasu

Is Tokyo far? - Tokyo wa thoi desu ka?

No. Its not far - . Thoku arimasen

Which road it is? - Michi wa dore desu ka?

Please go straight ahead - Mussgu itte kudasai

Yes. Its right - Hai. So desu

The road that goes to Yokohoma is that one - Yokohoma e iku michi wa achira desu

I am not a Japanese - Watashi wa nihon jin ja arimasen

It’s not on the right - Migi ja arimasen

Its’ not straight ahead - Massugu ja arimasen

Is it on the right? - Migi desu ka?

Or is it straight ahead? - Soretomo massugu desu ka?

Please go to the left - Hidari e itte kudasai

And then please go to the right - Sorekara migi e itte kudasai

And then - Sore kara?

I don’t know - Wakharimsen

Slowly. Could you please - Yukkuri onegaishimasu

As for me, it is too fast - Hayasugimasu
